Season Outlook
Jeff recently completed his third season at Valley
Christian. Already one of the most highly touted players in CCS, Coggan has
continued to attract Division I college scouts nation-wide...but he has
committed orally to play soccer at Santa Clara University next season.
His impressive high school career includes 20 goals, 21 assists...CCS
Sophomore of the Year, 1st Team All WCAL in '04-'05, 2nd Team All WCAL as a 10th grader, and a MVP for
his League Champion VC Warriors.
Jeff's talent stretches far beyond high
school to the club level where he plays for one of the best in the US, the
Santa Clara Sporting Ruckus. His team is a National contender each year, and
he's starred in storied tournaments such as Dallas Cup, and Nomads. This
Super Y-League phenom has drawn intense interest from dozens of schools
including many Division I powerhouses. Jeff will compete with his club
team in the Dallas Cup this summer.
Known for his dizzying moves, great work
rate, and superb
passing skills, Jeff led the
WCAL in scoring in '04-'05. In his sophomore year, Jeff led the WCAL in assists as a sophomore and scored
10 goals from the midfield position.

player to come out of this school...ever." said Assistant
Coach John Basanese at the end of last season.
Sophomore Year
Starting 24 games as a sophomore, Coggan
scored 10 goals and had 14 assists. Scored back to back game winning
goals in the WCAL playoffs vs. Mitty and Serra. Had a goal and an assist
in last years CCS playoff run. Was named the San Jose Mercury News
CCS Sophomore of the Year, 2nd Team All-WCAL, and the Valley Christian
Coach's MVP.
Freshman Year
As a freshman, Jeff started in 23 games
and scored 3 goals. His play in the CCS tournament helped VC to a
Semi-Final finish.
Personal Info
Jeff's older brother Jimmy Coggan starred
at VC, and plays now for Seattle Pacific University. The two of them combined on numerous goals
while at VC.
A
Division I prospect, Jeff has committed to play soccer at Santa Clara
next season.
