2006 Season to kickoff with Gunn and Leigh
VCSoccer.com is pleased to announce the
first two games of the 2006-2007 Boys Varsity Soccer season for Valley
Christian. The Warriors staff has selected two high quality
programs to get the team in shape ahead of another tough WCAL campaign,
details below:
November 20th vs. Gunn @ VC, 3:15pm.
Gunn and Valley Christian have met three
times over the past four years. VC has never defeated the Titans,
but did play to a tie the last two times the teams met (04,
05). Gunn is a perennial CCS
powerhouse who has produced many great players in years past. In
the 2004-2005 CCS Playoffs, Gunn lost to Mitty in the DII final.
The year before, Gunn lost to Watsonville in the CCS DI semi-final.
The game will be played at Valley Christian, and will serve as a great
(albeit challenging) tune-up for the season.
November 22nd @ Leigh, 3:15pm.
The second team to be added to the schedule
is Leigh High School. Valley Christian has a decorated history
with the Leigh Longhorns, including a 3-2 overtime win in the 2003 CCS
Quarter-final. The teams have met two other times, splitting the
games with a win each. The game will be played at Leigh high
school on their new field turf field.
