Head JV Coach

Season Outlook:
Coach McElhatton is a licensed coach and a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. He is entering his 3rd year of coaching Junior Varsity soccer at Valley Christian; his second year as head JV coach. He anticipates a solid season for VC's Junior Varsity team.

Coach McElhatton has coached soccer for 8 years; PAL, CYSA and VCHS. He was commissioner for Cambrian PAL soccer in 1997 & 1998, and head referee in 1999 before moving to CYSA. Coach McElhatton was recognized in 2000 by the San Jose Earthquakes for his efforts in helping to develop youth soccer in San Jose.

Personal:
Coach McElhatton is Director of the Communications department at Valley Christian High School, and teaches film, television and video production. He and his wife Robin have been married for 21 years. His daughter, Lauren, graduated from VCHS in 2002 and now attends UC San Diego. His son Christopher is a Junior at VCHS and a member of the varsity soccer team. Coach McElhatton is an avid soccer fan and San Jose Earthquakes supporter.
