George Fahmy Joins Division I Program
Former
Valley Christian standout, George Fahmy,
has begun his season with Division I outfit San Jose State. George
will be a redshirt freshman this year as he transitions to the college
game.
In his time at Valley Christian, George had 7 goals and 5
assists while earning WCAL 2nd Team honors his senior year.
Coach Basanese thinks that George will succeed at the
next level.
"I'm happy for George, and for SJSU. He's a player
who is very dynamic on the ball, and can strike a ball powerfully with
both feet. A year of redshirting will be great for George, and I
expect him to contribute great things to that program over the next five
years. He's a part of the VC family, we're proud of his
accomplishments, and we wish him continued success at SJSU," Basanese
said.
